After-hours worker check-ins

Keep an agreed check-in routine after the office closes.

Schedule SMS check-ins for early starts, late finishes, weekend work and other times when fewer people are nearby.

After-hours work can leave fewer people available to notice a missed contact. Cheqzen helps an organisation make the expected check-in times and escalation path more consistent across the week.

Seven-day scheduling

Use weekday, weekend or custom-day schedules, with up to three daily check-ins per worker.

Configured escalation

Use up to two reminders before the workflow escalates to nominated contacts.

Clear responsibility

Define who is expected to review and act on an unanswered check-in.

Reply recorded

The routine continues.

Simple for the worker.

A valid safety reply is recorded against the check-in. No reminder or escalation is needed for that check-in.

  1. Scheduled SMS sent
  2. Worker replies from their usual phone
  3. Reply is visible in the portal

FOLLOW-UP PATHIllustrative example

Cheqzen safety check. Reply OK if you are safe.

No reply recorded

Follow-up required

People take responsibility for the response.

Silence becomes visible.

If there is still no reply after the configured reminders, the supervisor is alerted. The company’s response process takes over.

  1. Scheduled SMS sent
  2. Reminders follow if needed
  3. Continued non-response escalates

A supervisor accepting follow-up does not mark the worker safe.

Example only. Check-in times and response arrangements are set by your organisation.

Responsible use

Designed to support, not replace, after-hours procedures.

The organisation should document who is monitoring, how quickly they respond and when emergency services or another contact method must be used. Cheqzen is not an emergency monitoring service.
